Safety system auditing services
Get audits that help you with your compliance and continuous improvement
An essential part of an effective system is quality assurance and continuous improvement. This is especially true in safety, with the dynamic nature of hazards, opportunities for improved safety from new technology, and ever changing legal requirements.
Audits are a time-tested measurement tool for helping you ensure compliance with the various jurisdictions’ legal requirements, your industry best practices, and your due diligence in general. Audits also give you the opportunity to address changes in your company and the industry that may impact the safety of your workers and the environment.
You will find many different types of audits available, depending on your needs and the complexity of your business. SCS offers or facilitates internal, external, and maintenance audits to help you.

Get audits that work as a key component in obtaining or maintaining a COR or SECOR
Having a certificate of recognition (COR—10 or more employees) or small employer certificate of recognition (SECOR—up to 10 employees) is a comprehensive process that comes with hard-earned benefits for making your company more marketable and accessing WCB refunds.
To be granted and maintain COR or SECOR status, audits are involved to assess your health and safety program. SCS can help you with our team of auditors who are health and safety professionals with the right credentials for this detail work: we employ Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSPs), National Construction Safety Officers (NCSOs), and Construction Safety Administrators (CSAs) to get the job done accurately and on time.
You can access our auditors to perform audits to the detailed specifications of these COR/SECOR partner programs:
- Energy Safety Canada (formerly Enform)
- Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA)
- Alberta Safety Council (ASC)
- Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR) COR and SECOR
