This is a classroom-based 1-day SCS-certified course providing training in management control of loss. It is available from SCS when requested to suit your schedule, with a minimum of 5 student enrollments required.
Managing control of loss is an essential skill for professional development of supervisors, managers, and occupational health and safety professionals. As part of SCS’s Det Norske Veritas practical leadership skills training program, this management control of loss course provides you with the comprehensive skills to balance loss control in your organization.
Course topics include the following:
- Importance of management involvement in loss control programs
- Principles of effective management
- Systems for effective management control of loss
You will learn how managers shape and reflect the commitment of an organization towards safety and loss control, and why their buy-in is critical to the process. You will also cover the application of effective management principles to health and safety and how to measure health and safety management performance.
Loss control relies on effective systems of implementation and execution. A mere “safety system” isn’t enough. Loss control encompasses far more than only safety, and you will learn these components.
This course is part of SCS’s Det Norske Veritas practical leadership skills series.
