This is a combined self-study plus classroom-based 3-day SCS-certified course that provides training for D.O.T. collector and breath alcohol technicians. It is available from SCS when requested to suit your schedule, with a minimum of 1 student enrollment required.
This course consists of both self study and classroom instruction, using RBT IV for the training. Note that this course is an advanced class over and above D.O.T.’s requirements for BAT instructors.
While all devices are approved by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), we always train to the absolute highest standard.
Course topics include the following:
- DOT Model Course – part 40 rules and regulations (online)
- EBT instrument-specific training (classroom)
- 7 mock tests in a classroom
- Instruction on the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Accuracy Checks
Passing a written exam is required for certification and successful presentations of BAT modules are required for certification.
